Retailers set for $38.7 billion Xmas sales
After a year of choppy and uncertain growth, retailers are optimistic of a 'fair, not great' 2009 Christmas period, with an expected year-on-year growth of 4.7 per cent totalling $38.7 billion moving through the economy via retail sales, according to peak retail industry body the Australian Retailers Association (ARA).

Fruit of the loom to land in Oz
Iconic US T-shirt and casual apparel brand Fruit of the Loom will launch at FASHION EXPOSED under the banner of Sydney company RLP Distribution. With a heritage spanning 150 years, the globally recognised brand would take on the likes of Bonds and Hanes in the Australian market, confirmed RLP general manager Michael Wargent.
Jewels in crown for knitwear queen
Renowned knitwear designer Vivian Chan Shaw has launched a hand-made jewellery collection. Fresh from receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Fashion Group International (FGI) Awards for Excellence 2009, the designer will showcase the jewellery along with her latest clothing ranges at FASHION EXPOSED.

Sydney Prada raid planned
A recent raid on a Prada boutique in Sydney's Martin Place was planned, with key items targeted for theft, according to Sydney police. The Italian luxury label's outlet was ransacked at about 3.00 am on Tuesday November 24, after both glass doors of the front entrance were shattered.
